GSPA#1: Science – The Inaugural Great Steampunk Affaire ball was held at Scitech, 30 July 2011. 350 of Perth’s most gadgetted, corsetted, top-hatted and be-gogglededed finest dressers promenaded amongst a feast of Science, Art, Music and much more. Explorers swapped notes and maps with Aviatrixes over High Tea; Railway Industrialists and Colonial Functionaries hunted exotic wild beasts; crinolined and gloved Ladies were Properly Introduced to cravatted gentlemen. A fabulously rich display of invention, creativity, and workmanship; and a firm basis for future events!
